Got me thinking.

Someone very close to me told me something today that I really hadn't thought about much. It may be because I have been blinded by the fact that they do so much for me and I just in a way, I don't like to say this but here goes nothin', took advantage of them.
"Lauren, you are never happy with anything I do for you. You always seem like something is bothering you, even when I do everything I can to please you." Wow. A blow to the heart. That definitely caught my attention. Well, I must say, they are completely right. This person does everything they can to make sure I am content, yet I have the audacity to not express my gratitude.
While at first all I could do was sink into my sorrow state, now I realize I do need to tell them "thank you" every once in a while or maybe even let them know that they mean so much to me.
From now on I am Thankful Lauren. I need to enjoy the little things in life.
Well, here's to a new thankful me.
